Reference Help

  • We offer Free Expert Search Services for National Jewish Health employees.
  • The library staff will search MEDLINE and other databases for you at no charge, usually with same day delivery. (You will be notified prior to the search if there is a cost; your cost center or grant can be charged-back.)

Current Awareness Automatic Email Alerts

  • The library offers a free weekly, personalized Current Awareness Service to deliver the latest results of a customized search directly to your email inbox. It is particularly useful for individuals who have a recurring need for information on specific topics.
  • Our Current Awareness Service or Auto Alert (also known as SDI or Selective Dissemination of Information) allows you to keep up to date on the latest published research on a topic, author or journal.

Circulation of Books and Journals

To check out NJ books and journals, as well as books from UCHSC, fill out a Patron Data Sheet in the library. Sign up for an Ovid/MEDLINE code to save searches and receive automatic updates on topics of interest.

  • Books are loaned for two weeks.
  • Journals are loaned for 3 days.
  • Overdue notices are sent and, after 2 notices, you will be billed for the material.
  • Books from the scientific collection are circulated to NJ employees only.
  • Health Info Center books are circulated to the general public.
