In 2010, funding from the Amon G. Carter Foundation enabled National Jewish Health to create the NTM (Nontuberculous Mycobacteria) Center of Excellence. The goals of the Center are to improve the diagnosis and treatment of NTM infections.

Since its establishment, the NTM Center of Excellence has focused on developing new diagnostic tests and improving current approaches for the diagnosis of NTM infections.
