Method for the Treatment of Cystic Fibrosis (SERCA2)Shama Ahmad, PhD, and Carl White, MD, have discovered that the expression of the calcium pump SERCA2 is reduced in the lung of cystic fibrosis patients. Therefore increasing SERCA2 expression or activity could be a valuable approach for the treatment of respiratory diseases like cystic fibrosis.
