Managed Care and Insurance
Contacting Your Insurance Provider
If you are interested in scheduling an appointment with a National Jewish Health physician, please contact our Scheduling Department at 303.398.1355 or 877.225.5654.
Health insurance coverage is an important concern in any medical situation. National Jewish Health works with most health plans and is "in-network" for millions of people. However, if you live outside the state of Colorado these same health plans may determine services at National Jewish Health to be "out of network".
Contact the Customer Service Department at your health insurance company to find out the details of your policy. They should be able to tell you about your coverage and financial responsibility for your care at National Jewish Health. If you are coming from outside Colorado, please make sure you know your benefits and authorization requirements for non-emergent outpatient hospital services outside your home state.
National Jewish Health is a hospital facility and the physicians are employees of the hospital. You will most likely be required to pay a specialty physician co-pay. Other co-payments may apply: hospital co-payments, deductibles or co-insurance.
If you have questions about your insurance coverage for your visit to National Jewish Health, the following information may be helpful to you.
