Continuing Medical Education For Healthcare Professionals

At National Jewish Health, our Mission since 1899 is to heal, to discover and to educate as a preeminent healthcare institution. We serve by providing the best integrated and innovative care for patients and their families; by understanding and finding cures for the diseases we research; and by educating and training the next generation of healthcare  professionals to be leaders in medicine and science.

The Office of Professional Education at National Jewish Health has provided Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Education (CE) about the diseases we research and treat to physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, registered nurses, and allied health professionals from around the world.

National Jewish Health faculty members are encouraged to complete the National Faculty Education Initiative (NFEI), an online training program on the differences between Certified CME and Promotional Activities, which is jointly sponsored by the Alliance for CME and the Society for Academic Medical Education (SACME).

All CME content is developed free-of-commercial bias, and reviewed by the National Jewish Health CME Committee for scientific and medical accuracy and rigor, as well as bias. The CME Committee is comprised of National Jewish specialists in the areas of pulmonology, allergy, intensive care and pediatrics. Led by Harold Nelson, MD, the physicians who serve on the CME Committee do not receive compensation for their role in order to prevent conflict of interest.
